Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso recently spoke at a memorial service held at the United Methodist Church of Port Washington on the anniversary of the Sandy Hook massacre of Dec. 14, 2012.

The event was organized by Moms Demand Action as part of a nationwide vigil to remember those lost at Sandy Hook and to honor all victims and survivors touched by gun violence.

He recited words come from the song, “How Many More,” written by Heather Maloney.

D’Urso joined with Moms Demand Action and North Shore Action in the spring to sponsor a Gun Sense Forum.

He also joined Pastor David Collins at a vigil at United Methodist Church following the Parkland shooting.

D’Urso has co-sponsored nine bills this year to help prevent gun violence.
