Assemblyman D’Urso recently spoke at the Golden Age Luncheon at Temple Tikvah in New Hyde Park.

The luncheon, sponsored by its Sisterhood, is a special outing for residents of nursing, veterans’ homes and low-income housing. The guests came from the Long Island State Veterans Home at Stony Brook, the Northport Veterans Administration, A. Holly Patterson, Magnolia Gardens, Manhasset Valley, and Great Neck Housing and filled the ballroom.

The food was catered by Dominick’s Deli and music entertainment was provided by the Butterflies from Harbor Day Care who sang and walked around to each table.

“The Sisterhood spent countless hours organizing this annual event so that the guests could have a special day,” D’Urso said.

Temple Tikvah’s Sisterhood is especially thankful to Polito Bakery who contributed the tasty challahs, to Ridgewood Saving Bank for donating goodies,to Best Market for providing a gift certificate and to the Brotherhood for donating the beverages and ice cream.
