Great Neck resident Erin Lipinsky will be hosting his annual car wash to benefit Special Olympics NY on Sunday, Aug. 15. Lipinsky has been fundraising for the Special Olympics for the past seven years and the car wash will kick off his efforts to fundraise for the Annual Polar Plunge® in 2022.
This past March, Lipinsky raised $16,115, breaking his own record and again was the top individual fundraiser of the event. The Polar Plunge® supports year-round sports training and competition and health and inclusion programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities in your community. Erin has been a longtime member of the Great Neck Spirits Basketball Team for the Special Olympics.
The car wash to benefit Special Olympics will take place at the Great Neck Alert Fire Company, 555 Middle Neck Road in Great Neck, and runs from noon to 4 p.m. The cost is $10 for cars, $15 for trucks, and $5 for motorcycles.
