Bishop John Barres to Celebrate Mass in Recognition of Long Island’s Health Care Professionals

The Island Now

The Most Reverend John O. Barres, Bishop of Rockville Centre, will celebrate a Mass for Health Care Professionals on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at 11 a.m. at
St. Agnes Cathedral. During this Mass, he will give thanks and pray for all medical personnel throughout Long Island and around the world.

“The cross of the Covid-19 pandemic continues to challenge health care professionals in so many ways,” said Bishop Barres. “Yet I am heartened and inspired to see our health care workers carrying out their duties and responsibilities for the many people who are suffering on Long Island.”

Masses for Health Care Professionals are special opportunities to ask God’s blessings for all those serving in the health care field – doctors, nurses, medical technicians, hospital administrators, emergency personnel and every dimension of staff service provided. We offer prayers for the safety and well-being of all health care workers and the people they serve. We remember and pray for the souls of all health care professionals who have died.

Catholic Faith Network (CFN) will broadcast this Mass, beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2021. CFN is found on Optimum channel 29/137, Verizon FiOS TV channel 296 and Spectrum channel 162/471. The Mass can also be viewed at any time after 11:00 a.m. on cfntv.org.
