For the last 13 years, Boy Scout Troop 10 of Great Neck has met at the North Shore Presbyterian Church in Lake Success. Due to a change of ownership, this location is no longer available and the troop is searching for a new meeting place.

They hope someone in the community can offer them a location that can accommodate approximately 40 people every Monday night (7:30-9:30 p.m.) from September to June (700+ sq ft with onsite storage space of 120 sq ft for troop equipment). Certification of insurance is available.

Troop 10, also known as the Rough Riders named after President Theodore Roosevelt who signed its first charter in 1915, have actively served the Great Neck community for over 100 years.

Grateful for their free meeting space, Troop 10 gave back to their host church by raking its leaves and cooking breakfast for its congregants. Troop 10 would be happy to express appreciation to a host site with similar service projects that benefit the owner’s needs.

A Boy Scout Motto which these boys practice is to “do a good turn” meaning to be kind and helpful to someone every day. Hopefully, a good turn can be done for them in the form of a suitable meeting place.
