Children’s Holiday Spectacular brings joy to more than 100 kids

Bayview Civic Association member Eric Monroe thanked the community for another successful Children’s Holiday Spectacular, made possible by its sponsors and volunteers. More than 100 children attended this year and more than 300 pounds of food was donated to Island Harvest.

Monroe said he wanted to thank the Manhasset Times for helping to spread the word about the event along with the event’s sponsors Moves and Motion School of Dance and their dancers, Douglas Elliman Real Estate, State Farm Nancy Morris Agency, Manhasset Chamber of Commerce, Gift Of Life and Robbie and Matt Donno.

Bow Tie Theater hosted the event and Raindew donated candy canes, Monroe said.

“This event doesn’t last 22 years without a team of dedicated of volunteers,” Monroe said. “I want thank those that donated their time and expertise this year — Bayview Civic Association, Manhasset Rotary, the Moschitta family, Manhasset High School students, Ginny Bassett graphics, Mack Bradley photography, Manhasset Community Fund and of course, Santa Claus.”

Monroe said the group looks forward to planning for an even larger event this year.
