Mark your calendars for one of Port Washington’s favorite and free summer traditions. Sunset Park along Manhasset Bay is the perfect spot for enjoying a picnic dinner while waiting for the sun to set so it’s dark enough for the movie to begin.

With the support of the Town of North Hempstead, Residents Forward is presenting a terrific line up of favorite movies for Cinema on the Bay 2018: “Wonder Woman” on June 16 at 8:30 p.m.; “Wonder” on July 7 at 8:30 p.m.; “Ghostbusters” on July 21 at 8:30 p.m.; and “Sing” on August 11 at 8:00 p.m.

“Of all the events we conduct throughout the year, Cinema on the Bay is one of my favorites,” Residents Forward Executive Director Mindy Germain said. “It is just one of our many efforts to make our waterfront a vibrant place to gather.”

Residents Forward wishes to thank Cinema on the Bay sponsors for their generous support, which makes these movie presentations possible: Cow Bay Contracting, Daniel Gale Sothebys International Realty, Dawn Serignese, Dental365, Frietas Landscaping, Gold Coast Chiropractic, Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton, The Shain Family, Our Harvest, PM Pediatrics, Port Jewish Center, Precision Work, Inc., Quality Water Group, Residents Forward, The Dailey Family, The Peter & Jeri Dejana Family Foundation, The Rimmer Family and the Town of North Hempstead.

Thanks also to the Port Washington Water Pollution Control District and the John Phillip Sousa Memorial Band Shell for their cooperation.

Bring lawn chairs or blankets and arrive early for a great spot. Note that movies are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. For more information about Cinema on the Bay and other Residents Forward programs, visit pwresidents.org or call 767-9151.
