The Chancel Choir and professional soloists of The Congregational Church of Manhasset will present “Songs of Praise” in celebration of the life of John W. Walter, longtime church and choir member, at 3 p.m. April 29.
The concert will include “The Heavens Are Telling” by Haydn, “How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place” by Brahms, and works by Thompson, Franck, Faure, Beethoven, Handel, Bach, Mozart, Malotte, and Mendelssohn.
The concert is under the direction of Craig Tocher, with organ accompaniment by Daniel Beckwith. Reception will follow the performance.
