Danceworks NY kicks off its 13th season in Port Washington in its newly renovated location at the Soundview Shopping Center. Danceworks is celebrating with a grand opening party on Saturday, Sept. 15 from noon to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
All are invited to tour the two newly furbished and state of the art dance studios at 10 Soundview Marketplace, meet the Danceworks NY team of instructors, staff and take part in dance demonstrations, dance parties, giveaways and shop the Pop-Up vendors.
The Pop-Up Shop features Massage Envy, Athleta and local women-run businesses, including Sabrina Drazic’s Kamari Kids. The event will also introduce food from the new Grill Shack NY food truck run by a Port Washington resident. Gift bags will be given to the first 100 attendees. A portion of sales from the Danceworks Pop-Up Shop will be donated to Dancing Dreams, a nonprofit organization giving the gift of dance to those with disabilities.
