Daniel Zarin to discuss climate chaos at Temple Beth-El of Great Neck

All are welcome to join Temple Beth-El of Great Neck for a special virtual Shabbat with guest speaker Daniel Zarin who will discuss Climate Chaos: Why the Next Decade—and Our Choices—Matter More Than Ever on Saturday, February 6, at 10 a.m.
Zarin has been senior director of programs for the Climate and Land Use Alliances since its inception in 2010. Previously, he was senior advisor to the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.

From 1995 to 2009, Zarin was a professor at the University of New Hampshire and subsequently at the University of Florida. He has a BA in History, a Master’s of Forest Science from Yale University and a PhD in Geology from the University of Pennsylvania.
He has published widely on forest ecology, management and policy, as well as the interface between deforestation and climate change.
