Dr. Erica Beauplan joins UCP of Long Island Board

Dr. Erica Beauplan, Internal Medicine at Northwell Health Joins United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island is proud to announce that Dr. Erica Beauplan, Board Certified Internal Medicine physician at Northwell Health has joined the Board of Directors.

“Dr. Erica Beauplan is a dedicated supporter of UCP of Long Island and we are impressed with the impact that she has made on Long Island, both as a medical professional and as a distinguished humanitarian. Erica brings a passion for helping others, especially children, to UCP and I look forward to partnering with her for many years to come”, said Thomas Pfundstein, Chair of the Board of Directors.

Dr. Beauplan is currently responsible for direct inpatient care at Northwell Health at Phelps Memorial Hospital where she has been since 2017. Dr. Beauplan graduated with Honors from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014. Prior to joining Phelps Memorial Hospital, she received her postdoctoral training at Southampton Hospital in Social Osteopathic Medicine.

In addition to Dr. Beauplan’s impressive career, she remains very active in the community, serving the local communities in which she lives and works. When not caring for acutely ill patients, she immerses herself in her passion for mentorship and teaching. As an Assistant Professor for the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, she regularly guides medical students and resident trainees through their education with the goal of molding the next generation of physicians ready to meet the current challenges of the diversifying medical landscape in which we live today.
