Dr. Kanti Rai, MD, will offer an Issues in Medicine lecture, “What Is New in Diseases of the Blood,” at Temple Emanuel of Great Neck, on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. The Issues in Medicine series is part of SCW Cultural Arts at Emanuel.

Dr. Rai is currently the Chief of the Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) Research and Treatment Program at North Shore-LIJ Cancer Institute, an Investigator at the Peter Karches Center for CLL of The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, and Joel Finkelstein Cancer Foundation Professor of Medicine at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine, where he also holds the title of Professor of Molecular Medicine. He is an international leader in the clinical evaluation and management of patients with CLL and his research in the field of CLL has pioneered contemporary approaches to this disease.
