Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso honored Great Neck artist Lauren Skelly Bailey by presenting to her a New York State Assembly Citation for her work.

Bailey’s art focuses on the metamorphosis of healthy corals to bleached corals due to the effects of climate change.

Great Neck Library Director Denise Corcoran in turn, presented the Assemblyman with a pin from the library for his support of the library.

“Having come from Italy which is known for its art, I appreciate good artwork and am always supportive of the arts,” D’Urso said. “I commend Ms. Bailey for her work and wish her luck with her future exhibits.”
