State Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso helped out at the annual feast organized by the Cellini Lodge No. 2206 Order Sons of Italy in America held at Michael J. Tully Park in New Hyde Park.

The festival has carnival rides and games, live music entertainment, vendors, and lots of delicious food including zeppoles and pastries.

D’Urso and a few of his friends at the Lodge founded this feast in 1984. For 34 years this has been a place where families and neighbors get together to have fun and raise funds to support a charitable program and generous scholarship.

As former president of the lodge, D’Urso has been working long hours at this feast to make sure that it is a success every year since it started.D’Urso said, “It brings me great joy to work here and I feel that this is important for me to help with this festival as it brings people together. This feast is no longer just an ‘Italian Feast,’ over the years many of the residents look forward to coming out here.”
