Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso recently presented a New York State Assembly citation and congratulated new Eagle Scout Daniel Miller from Boy Scout Troop 97 in Manhasset at a ceremony held at the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

Before becoming an Eagle Scout, Miller worked hard and kept busy creating a website for the Manhasset American Legion Auxiliary Unit 304. For his final project he put up and connected an electronic weather station which will be used to learn about the changing weather forecast by the children visiting the Science Museum of Long Island. He has also received the President’s Volunteer Service Award for his many hours of volunteer work in the community.

“We are privileged that we have a citizen such as Daniel Miller who has shown the importance of giving back to the community where he lives,” D’Urso said.
