Students in Ms. Noreen Naughton’s fifth grade class at East Hills Elementary School participated in a fun holiday project right before the break. It was called the Gumdrop Bridge STEM Challenge. “Students were tasked with designing a functional bridge, using only gumdrops and toothpicks, that could hold one pound,” said Ms. Naughton. “They really enjoyed the challenge and many built successful bridges!”
