Elmont Library is now open to the public

The Elmont Memorial Library is excited to have its doors finally opened to the public.

Regular summer hours will be in effect and CURBSIDE PICKUP will still be available to their patrons at 700 Hempstead Tpke., Elmont, NY 11003.

Only 50 patrons will be permitted in the building at a time to maintain social distancing practices. All staff and patrons are required to wear face coverings.

Patrons will be permitted to browse the library to locate books and other materials, however congregating or sitting in the library is not permitted at this time.

Social distancing guidelines must be maintained while in the library with the help of directional markers and signs.

Public computer use is by appointment only. A parent or guardian must accompany individuals under 10-years-old.

A three-day quarantine procedure for returned books has been established. Study rooms and meeting rooms are not available at this time.

The Elmont Memorial Library is looking forward to serving our wonderful community again is making every precaution to keep our staff and patrons safe.
