Elmont Memorial names December Model Citizens

The Always a Better Choice Committee at Elmont Memorial High School honors students who perform good deeds each and every day.

The theme for the month of December was goal setting, and the following students were recommended for this award.

Kaliyah Cross, who returned a wallet filled with cash to the main office. Marie Elizee, who is reliable and willingly gives of her time tutoring fellow students. Joshua Marshall, who returned three iPads he found to his science teacher.  Chinasa Onwu , who found an iPhone and returned it. Joshua Phifer and Nathan Phifer, who found a cell phone and returned it. Juilene Walker and Waliah Witter, who mentor students on a daily basis and are positive role models as they lead the school’s Big Brother/Big Sister Program.
