The Elmont Memorial school community attended the school’s annual homecoming on Oct. 7.
The theme for this year’s event was “Board Games” and included beautiful floats of life-size games: Operation, Chutes and Ladders, Monopoly and Life. After the parade, students, staff and community members headed to the football game to support the Spartans.
The Spartans defeated the South Side Cyclones 31-18. Chester Anderson had five catches for 135 yards and two touchdowns during the game.
During halftime, Justin Jackson and Imani Gray were named homecoming king and queen.
