Family-friendly multifaith Thanksgiving celebration

The Island Now

What began solely as a protestant Dutch church 287 years ago is now a place of religious diversity. Brookville Church, The Interfaith Community of Long Island (two religions, one family), The Muslim Reform Movement Organization, and The New Synagogue of Long Island, call the same location home.

On Nov. 17 at 12:00 p.m. they will hold a Family Friendly Multifaith Thanksgiving Celebration at the campus at 2 Brookville Road, Glen Head.

A special children’s choir will open the service.  There will be story-telling, special family participation, as well as music and prayers.

A warm welcome is extended to people of all faiths and family configurations.  For more information call (516) 626-0414 or visit our Facebook page: Brookville Church & Multifaith Campus

Rev. Vicky Eastland, pastor at Brookville Church said, “I have spoken of the need for peace and reconciliation between religions for years, but this is the first time I am actually involved in a place that is putting it into practice.”
