Residents Forward has served the Port Washington community for over 50 years. At Party in the Park, we aim to bring the community together to raise important funds for projects that advance the vibrancy, resiliency, sustainability and beauty of the Cow Neck peninsula. Party in the Park will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 1-4 p.m. at Blumenfeld Family Park, adjacent to Landmark on Main Street.

For only $5 each, children can enjoy six experiential zones with lots of fun and educational activities. The six zones and their activities are: Healthy Planet that will feature live animals, rock painting, “potion-making,” viewing seeds under a microscope, science experiments and planting; Healthy Bodies will offer mini-golf, a strong arm hammer, interactive taekwondo demonstrations, gymnastics, massage, sleep training, fruit, pediatricians, orthodontists and dentists; Family Fun will have carnival and other games with prizes, cotton candy, a trackless train and ices; Music & Art will offer live music and instruments for young children, temporary tattoos, face painting, crafting station and slime making; Building Young Minds will teach children how to count money and recycle, share information about local preschools and have fun with robotics; and, Family Safety will share information from the fire and police departments on how children and their families can stay safe, including learning about fire trucks, one will be on hand, and first aid training.

Residents Forward thanks their presenting sponsors, The Peter & Jeri Dejana Family Foundation, Precision Work Inc., and the Town of North Hempstead.
