The Floral Park Memorial High School Marching Band competed at Huntington High School on Oct. 1. The students delivered their best performance of the season, receiving a score of 69.15 and taking first place. This score pushes the band up to second place in New York State out of 11 bands.

The group’s success continued on Oct. 7, when they competed at the Walt Whitman High School USBands “Battle of the Bands.” The band received its highest score in history of the band, breaking 80 with an 82.05. The group also took home awards for Best Color Guard and Best Visual Performance.
