On Thursday, June 4, Glen Head principal Peter Rufa along with schools Superintendent Peter Giarrizzo, and the Glen Head fifth-grade teachers, faculty, and staff cheered on the Glen Head Class of 2020 during their “Moving Up Car Parade” ceremony.
It was a beautiful day to celebrate the Glen Head fifth-graders and their respective families as principal Rufa handed each student their diploma through their decorative car windows.
The school was adorned with Hawaiian decorations and administrators, faculty, and staff were colorfully dressed accordingly! Leading off each class was the Glenwood Landing Fire Department followed by each family vehicle. We thank everyone for participating in making this celebration a success.
Principal Rufa said, “Our fifth-grade moving up was such a special event. It was truly touching to be TOGETHER cheering for our fifth-grade class and wishing them well as they move on to the middle school,” Rufa said. “Yesterday was the perfect reminder of what makes Glen Head so special. It’s our students, our families, and our faculty all interacting TOGETHER!”
