Gold Coast Arts Founder and Executive Director Regina Gil was honored among a stellar group of individuals as a Top Business Leader of Nassau County at a virtual ceremony that took place on February 18, 2021. Presented by Blank Slate Media and hosted by publisher Steven Blank, this award recognized and celebrated individuals who are influential in their field and have developed visionary ways to progress their business.

“We are so proud that we are being recognized for our impact on the economic vitality of Long Island as well as for being a strong cultural and educational resource,” said Ms. Gil. Now in its 25th year, the not-for-profit Arts Center has transitioned successfully to a dominant virtual presence in both the School for the Arts and Gold Coast Virtual Cinema Series, as well as opening its doors again to in-person classes and programs.

The School for the Arts is currently open for Spring 2021 registration. In addition to its innovative classes & programs the Arts Center is renowned for its personalized, concierge service in bringing the best in art, music, dance, theatre, technology and more to families near and far. New and exciting programs have been introduced to include:

• One-session workshops for kids, teens, adults and families held virtually and in-person, and will be offered outside the doors of the Arts Center for spring;
• Unique pod concepts for family and friends to create their own special classes, catered to a specific date, time and group size;
• Vacation Arts creative one-day or one week programs for students during their school break. Private schools and academies are being accommodated with special Art Weeks for their specific vacation schedule;
• Pop-up Parties – a new and unique way to celebrate special occasions with family and friends online or in-person. Choose from Art, Ceramics, Dance and more and let Gold Coast Arts create the party for you!

Gold Coast Arts in its commitment to curate the best in new independent filmmaking has witnessed the transformative power of film. A recent free online screening of Chasing Childhood, a new documentary that explored the phenomenon of over-parenting, garnered a record-breaking amount of ticket registrations from audiences near and far. In fact, from Great Neck to Moscow, including Tennessee, Oregon, Hawaii, and Alberta Canada, audiences took part in these special virtual screenings from the comfort of their homes! New films are available to stream every month from the Gold Coast Arts virtual cinema series and encompass an array of genres in both narrative and documentary features.
