Last week, Chabad of Port Washington Hebrew School hosted grandparents of students in a celebration of family roots in honor of the New Year for trees, Tu B’Shvat, which was celebrated on Jan. 31 this year.

Grandparents enjoyed a lovely performance about the chain of Jewish identity by the students of Chabad Hebrew School and viewed a grand Roots Display with pictures of students and their ancestors.

“What I love my most about this place is that it is so educational and so warm,” noted one proud grandmother. “Thank you for everything you do for our grandkids. It was a pleasure to come and see it myself after hearing so much about Chabad from the children.”

The program concluded with a family fair of grandparent/grandchild activities, including fruit art, grandparent interview, Israel’s Fruits memory challenge, and more, which were enjoyed by all.
