Great Neck Library Accepting Pet Food Donations for Long Island Cares Baxter’s Pet Pantry

The Great Neck Library Main Building, Parkville Branch and Lakeville Branch is accepting Pet Food and Supply donations for Long Island Cares Baxter’s Pet Pantry until April 30, 2021.

Please join Assemblywoman Gina L. Sillitti in supporting Long Island Cares and Baxter’s Pet Pantry by donating much needed food and supplies. Since 2009, Long Island Cares, Inc., the Harry Chapin Food Bank, has provided free pet food and supplies to individuals and families in need, in an effort to help them maintain their pets at home as opposed to placing them in shelters.

Most Needed Items: 5+ pound bags of pet food, canned pet food, pet treats, cat litter, NEW pet toys.

For the health and safety of our furry friends, all pet food must be new and unopened, and in its original packaging. All toys MUST be new and have tags on them. Please wear a mask when you drop off your donations, and thank you for your help.

Drop-off locations during Library hours: Main Library, 159 Bayview Avenue, Great Neck 11023; Parkville Branch, 10 Campbell Street, New Hyde Park 11040; Lakeville Branch, 475 Great Neck Road, Great Neck 11021.
