Great Neck Library announces partial reopening to community

The Great Neck Library begins its partial reopening to the community as of Monday, July 20.

Services will be available to patrons on Mondays to Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Main Library, 159 Bayview Ave., and the Parkville Branch, 10 Campbell St., New Hyde Park.

The following services will be available by appointment only: Reader’s Advisory with a Reference or Children’s Librarian; Use of copiers or scanner; Circulation questions; Media Librarian for assistance with OverDrive/Libby, Hoopla, RBDigital, and Kanopy.

These appointments are 15 minutes in length. Appointments for Computer use, with a STEM Librarian or a Levels member, will be 30 minutes in length. Call (516) 466-8055 to make appointments for the Main Library, and (516) 466-8055 ext. 273 for the Parkville Branch.

Please note: The following will not be made available: Browsing, seating, study areas, tutoring spaces, or meeting rooms; newspapers or magazines; toys, puzzles, computers, iPad, tutors in the Children’s Room. 
 
Patrons will not be permitted in the buildings without a mask. For the safety of all, please follow all guidelines and procedures.

Curbside pickup for items is still available Mondays to Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Returned items must be left in the book drops. Please do not bring them into the buildings. All programs will remain virtual. Check the Library’s newsletter, website event listings at greatnecklibrary.org, and social media for updates.
