Great Neck North Water Authority to hold remote public meeting

The Island Now

The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of the Water Authority of Great Neck North will be held on April 13, 2020, at 12 noon, in accordance with the Governor’s March 13, 2020, Executive Order No. 202.1, which permits public meetings to be held remotely by conference call.

The agenda for the meeting will be posted on the authority’s website.

In accordance with said order, the public will have the ability to listen to such proceeding at the Authority’s office and a transcript will be made of the public portion of the meeting.

Because of the requirement to keep a safe social distance of 6 feet during the coronavirus pandemic and the limited facilities at the Authority’s office, residents and other members of the public are strongly requested for their own safety and the safety of the authority staff and others not to attend and, instead, to read the transcript of the public hearing, which will be posted on the Authority’s website.  Communication with the Board is suggested by email or regular mail instead of appearing at the meeting.

If you feel strongly compelled to come to the meeting, please call the authority’s secretary at least one business day in advance of the meeting so safe arrangements can be attempted to provide six-foot social distancing to the extent practical.

This notice is pursuant to the requirements of the Open Meetings Law and is not to be published as a legal notice.
