At its June 28, 2018 Annual Meeting the Nassau County Village Officials Association (NCVOA) elected Jean Celender, mayor of the Village of Great Neck Plaza, first vice president for 2018-2019. The NCVOA represents 64 incorporated villages with more than 450,000 residents.

As first vice president, Mayor Celender will play a vital role in establishing NCVOA policies and directing the organization’s efforts on behalf of village residents throughout Nassau County.

Along with Celender, Ralph Ekstrand, mayor of the Village of Farmingdale was elected as president, Sea Cliff Mayor Edward Lieberman became second vice president, and Brookville Mayor Daniel Serota was elected as treasurer.
