The Great Neck Library family extends a heartfelt thank you and salute to the courageous and dedicated individuals who are sacrificing their own health and safety to care for and help ease the pain of those affected by the Coronavirus. A tremendous thank you to all the first responders – emergency medical technicians, fire and police department personnel, doctors, nurses, and hospital/urgent care personnel. Then there are the people in our communities we often don’t hear about, who are lending a virtual “hand” to neighbors and strangers who need help. Thank you. As we try to wrap our thoughts around the reality of this pandemic, there is comfort in knowing we have such heroes among us who exhibit such a touching display of humanity.

Chapter Book Read Aloud Online
Join us daily from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. to hear some of your favorite chapter books read aloud. We will read stories like Chris Grabenstein’s Mr. Lemoncello’s Library series, Dan Gutman’s My Weird School series, and more. If you miss the live reading, the sessions will be recorded and made available for you to hear at your leisure.
