LI CARES FOOD DRIVE (ONGOING)
The Main Library, Parkville and Station Branches are currently accepting donations for LI Cares, The Harry Chapin Food Bank. The collection boxes are accessible at the front entrances of each location during regular Library hours. Please donate products that are in boxes, cans, or plastic bottles, and do not require refrigeration. Please, no glass jars. For more information, visit www.licares.org.

PET FOOD DRIVE (Through April 30)
Long Island Cares Baxter’s Pet Pantry
The Great Neck Library Main Building, Parkville Branch and Lakeville Branch is accepting Pet Food and Supply donations for Long Island Cares Baxter’s Pet Pantry until April 30. Join Assemblywoman Gina L. Sillitti in supporting Long Island Cares and Baxter’s Pet Pantry by donating much needed food and supplies. Since 2009, Long Island Cares, Inc. has provided free pet food and supplies to individuals and families in need, in an effort to help them maintain their pets at home as opposed to placing them in shelters. Most Needed Items: 5+ pound bags of pet food, canned pet food, pet treats, cat litter, NEW pet toys. For the health and safety of our furry friends, all pet food must be new and unopened, and in its original packaging. All toys MUST be new and have tags on them. Please wear a mask when you drop off your donations, and thank you for your help.
