Weekend Movie at Great Neck House:

“The Art of Self Defensive” (2019) starring Jesse Eisenberg, Alessandro Nivola, and Imogen Poots is playing at Great Neck House on Friday, March 20 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, March 21 at 5 & 8 p.m.; and Sunday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m.

After he’s attacked on the street by a motorcycle gang, a timid bookkeeper joins a neighborhood karate studio to learn how to protect himself and gains a newfound sense of confidence for the first time in his life. Rated R, 1 h 44 minutes. A park pass is required for admission.

Sunday @ 3 Series:

Comedy Show featuring Talia Reese Great Neck’s own, Talia Reese, headlines this hilarious comedy show at Great Neck House on Sunday, March 22 at 3 p.m.

Talia is a regularly performs at New York City’s top clubs, is constantly headlining galas and has recently appeared on The Wendy Williams Show and Spike TV. Great Tugboat Manny will EmCee and comedians Art Schill land Fat Jay will also perform. Admission requires a park pass.

Nature Program: Beginner Birds & Botany in Brookville

Visit Michael Galgano Park-BOCES Environment Center in Brookville on Saturday, March 28. In addition to exploring nature at this Nassau BOCES Center, you will learn about colonial and adventure programs that are offered here. Bring binoculars. Camps and Programs 2020:

The Great Neck Park District is offering many spring/summer camp options for everyone.

Spring Hockey League every Tuesday and Thursday, for those hockey players (ages 5-12) who want to keep their skills sharp. The Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink is open through June 14 for public sessions, skate school’s group classes and private lessons for all ages.

Tennis classes for tots, juniors, adults, juniors and women’s teams as well as private lessons. Our summer camp options include Camp Parkwood (ages 3-15) and Summer Tennis Camp (ages 6-17), which both run from June 29 through August 21.

All levels will love our Sailing School (ages 3-15), which runs June 29 through Aug. 28. We also have water activities at Steppingstone Marina including sailboat and kayak rentals as well as water tubing and charter rentals.
