In early December, Herricks High School presented this year’s Winter Concert Series. The Orchestra Program, under the direction of Mrs. Catherine Birke, performed a variety of works, including selections by Rossini and Beethoven as well as “Bugler’s Holiday” and “The Swan,” featuring all high school cellists.
The performance concluded with a mass finale performance of “Let It Snow.” The band program, under the direction of Mr. Scott Stickley, performed works including selections by Vaughn Williams and Eric Whitacre, in addition to inspiring works by Balmages.
The concert concluded by continuing a long-time Herricks tradition of “Sleigh Ride.”
