Thirteen Herricks High School students gathered with members of the board of education, administration and coaching staff on May 30 to celebrate their commitment to collegiate athletics. These seniors have signed National Letters of Intent and will participate on sports teams at various colleges and universities.

Jordan Chin will play baseball at Colby-Sawyer College and Andrew Imperatore will do so at Rider University. Jordan Idaspe will join the basketball team at the State University of New York at Cortland, Anisha Singla will be a cheerleader at the New York Institute of Technology and Ben Chase heads to the football field at Hartwick College. Greg Capelle, Connor Dillon, Albert Lee, Daniel Woska and Brent Zimmerman will play lacrosse at the Air Force Academy, Mercy College, Emmanuel College, the State University of New York at Cortland and Belmont Abbey College, respectively. Emily Haller will join the softball team at Molloy College, Erica Lorenzana is set for soccer at George Washington University and Sean McClellan will participate on the swim team at the State University of New York at Geneseo.

Director of Athletics, Physical Education and Health K-12 Jim Petricca addressed the students. “You all have represented not only our athletics program but our community,” he said. “We’re very proud of your accomplishments here, but we are also very confident that you will continue on your path of excellence.”
