The Community Church of East Williston is pleased to announce that it will host the Annual Interfaith Community Thanksgiving Service. This celebration of gratitude will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 7 p.m.

This gathering brings members from different faith traditions together to give thanks, celebrate diversity and break bread as one community. The goal for this event is to provide a venue for parishioners from different traditions an opportunity to worship and give thanks together. The mission is to foster an environment of community, inclusion, and understanding that will filter into neighborhoods of our local communities. The service will feature choirs and liturgy from participating in faith traditions. Our sponsors include Temple Sinai of Roslyn, The Islamic Center of Long Island, and The Community Church of East Williston.

Following the service, the parlor of the Community Church of East Williston will be transformed into an event space filled with an open concept food gallery with the air filled with songs of harmony and togetherness.

“We are proud to be working with each of our faith partners, coming together to give thanks and praise. This will be an uplifting celebration filled with music and hope for a better day for all,” Rev. Marcus Tillery from the community church said.

The sponsor congregations will also be collecting non-perishable food and financial donations in support of The Interfaith Nutrition Network. Charitable donations made by check should be made out to, The INN (The Interfaith Nutrition Network).
