For the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, the John Lewis Childs School community has been collecting items to be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Organized by the Student Council, the drive encourages students to visit the Kindness Tree in the main hallway that displays the needed items on paper leaves. In addition to the items, students are also able to donate spare change.

The Student Council members, along with advisor Julie Lafferty, are scheduled to donate the items to the Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park on Nov. 22.
