On April 3, Mineola High School students, and their teacher Rory Block, visited Judge Scott Fairgrieve at the Nassau County District Courthouse.

While the judge was hearing cases in the Landlord & Tenant Part on that date, the students were invited to sit next to him at the bench and listen in on the cases before him. The students got a birds eye view of what was going on. Fairgrieve discussed with them interesting points about the proceedings which were taking place. The students were able to hear the legal arguments between the attorneys to support their cases. They were also given an opportunity to look at some of the paperwork submitted.
