On Sunday, June 23 at 7 p.m., Trinity Artist-in-Residence, Leonard Lehrman will present the third in his series of four concerts at Trinity Episcopal Church, Roslyn. The first one featured the Alba Consort last October in the first musical work ever commissioned by the Long Island Creative Individual Arts Grant Program of the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program.

The second, this past May 5, featured the Metropolitan Philharmonic Chorus in a program honoring both the centennial of Pete Seeger’s birth and, in collaboration with Roslyn’s Temple Beth Sholom, memories of the Holocaust. The chorus will also be featured in the fourth program, Aug. 18 at 7 p.m.

This third program features the Dakule Trio in works by Beethoven, Schumann, and three students of Nadia Boulanger: Marc Blitzstein (1905-1964), Leonard Lehrman (1949- ) and Hugh Robertson (1940-1973). Lehrman will introduce each of these works, with inside stories on their creation, and will perform at the piano together with violinist Daniel Hyman and cellist Kurt Behnke.

The concert is free of charge, with a good will offering solicited. Contributions may be made in cash or in the form of checks made out to The Prof. Edgar H, Lehrman Memorial Foundation.

Trinity Episcopal Church is located at 1579 Northern Blvd.
