Subject to approval of grant funding by New York state, residents of New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District with an eligible child of age 4 by Dec. 1, 2020, may apply for free half-day pre-kindergarten classes for the 2020- 2021 school year. Applications are available on our website www.nhp-gcp.org. Application forms must be received no later than Friday, Jan. 31, 2020. Selection will be done by lottery on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, at 9 a.m., in the Board Room at 1950 Hillside Ave., New Hyde Park. Parents may attend the lottery on Feb. 7, but it is not mandatory.
Resident children of the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District who will turn five years old by Dec. 1, 2020, are eligible for kindergarten in Sept. 2020. Registration forms must be completed and submitted on-line through our website (please follow these steps).

If you do not have access to a computer, you can register using the computers at the Hillside Public Library located at 155 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park. You can also arrange to come into the district office and we will have a computer available for your use.
