Laffey International Fine Homes of Williston Park collected more than 200 new blankets that were sent to the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.

Barbara Baur-Rizzo, an employee of the office, collected more than 100 blankets herself by reaching out to her Girl Scout Troop 1106, Cadets of the Herricks Association of Girl Scouts.

Emmett Laffey, the CEO and owner of Laffey International Fine Homes, started the drive because he wanted do something for the victims of the hurricane.

The Herricks school district ran its own blanket drive for Hurricane Harvey victims and collected a substantial amount of blankets as well.
