Students between eight and 12 years old participated in an art project related to Yom HaShoah, or Holocaust Memorial Day, with art expert and teacher Lisa Weinblatt.

“It was mostly family values and continuity and the idea of remembering and expressing it in art,” Rabbi Michael Klayman said.

Klayman said this program, which gives students a chance to express themselves artistically rather than just in words, is in addition to other Holocaust remembrance programs like having a Holocaust survivor come to the school and tell their story.
