Lake Success Jewish Center welcomes Rabbi Jeffrey Salkin

The Lake Success Jewish Center will welcome author Rabbi Jeffrey Salkin as Scholar in Residence Rabbi on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 27

Salkin will speak during the 9:30 a.m. service and at lunch which follows. His two topics are “Fixing the Broken Hallelujah: The Work of Leonard Cohen” and “Judaism Beyond Slogans.”

Salkin is the acclaimed author of several books for both students and adults, and sought-after lecturer. His book “Putting God On The Guest List” has become a classic for pre Bar and Bat Mitzvah families.

Salkin has a national and international reputation as one of America’s most quoted rabbis and thought leaders. His books have dealt with such subjects as the spirituality of career, masculinity, Israel, righteous gentiles, and Jewish history.
