State Assemblyman Charles Lavine is sponsoring a fill-a-bookbag drive.
Lavine and the Glen Cove Youth Bureau are collecting back-to-school supplies for children kindergarten through 12th grade who otherwise would not have the necessary told to have a successful academic year.
Items requested include backpacks, binders, composition books, highlighters, index cards, colored pencils, pencil cases, pencils, pens, pocket folders, Post-it notes, blunt scissors, Ziploc bags, facial tissues and dry erase markers.
