League of Women Voters to hold Post-Election Supper on Nov. 14

Now that the votes are counted, the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Nassau County invites you to a lively discussion of the results at a Post-Election Supper on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m. in the art gallery of the co-host, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock in Manhasset.

Leading the discussion will be Craig M. Burnett, associate professor of Political Science at Hofstra University. His comments will be based on years of studying state and local government, urban politics, political behavior, and electoral institutions. Burnett teaches courses on American government, urban politics, state and local government, urban, public opinion, political behavior as well as research methods and statistics.

Followers of all political persuasions and independents are encouraged to attend, but advance registration is necessary as is a tax-deductible fee of $20. To do so by mail, send a check, made out to the LWVNYS Education Fund, by November 9 to the LWV of Nassau County, PO Box 221, Port Washington, NY 11050.  Otherwise, pay at the door but register first by e-mailing info@lwvofnassaucounty.org  or calling 516-431-1628.
