The League of Women Voters of Nassau County will co-host a Candidates Debate with Hofstra University for the three vying for Nassau County Executive – county Legislator Laura Curran (Democratic, Working Families, Women’s Equality Parties); Jack Martins (Republican, Conservative, Reform and Tax Revolt Parties); and Cassandra Lems (Green Party) – at 4 p.m. Sunday, October 1 at Hofstra’s Helene Fortunoff Theater (formerly called Monroe Hall) located in the Monroe Lecture Hall, South Campus directly off Hempstead Turnpike on California Avenue.
Each candidate will try to prove that she or he is most qualified to win the Nov. 7 General Election.
