Leslie Mazzotta of Manhasset’s Coalition Against Substance Abuse was welcomed at the Church of Our Saviour, Lutheran this past Sunday by the Rev. Marc Herbst and congregational president Kathryn Neher.
Mazzotta kicked off the congregation’s “Sacrifice and Serve” Lenten series. Each Sunday an organization shares its mission to inspire others into service.
CASA has existed in the Manhasset community since 2001 as a resource to reduce the illegal, underage use of alcohol, tobacco, prescription and other drugs among its youth.
CASA strives to reach our youth before they are in trouble by connecting parents, school, community and youth as partners in this common goal.
