Manhasset Jewish Community Council seeks new members

The Island Now

Are you Jewish or part of an interfaith family and live in Manhasset or are moving here? Looking to connect with other similar families in town? The Manhasset Jewish Community Council is eager to be a resource for you.

The council, known as the MJCC, was founded in 1973. The MJCC serves as a connection for Jewish and interfaith families in the Manhasset community.

The council are not affiliated with any congregation, but we are known to both of the Manhasset Synagogues, and we have a strong collaborative partnership with the Manhasset school district, reviewing issues that are important to our membership.

There is a monthly discussion group, social activities and connections between the MJCC and larger community each year.

Dues are $25 for a family, $20 for a couple and $15 for singles.

The MJCC can help you find aspects of Jewish life in Manhasset according to your needs, and connect you with other members who are similar in age, with similar interests, or with other resources in the community for preschools, Jewish community centers and more.

With Passover fast approaching, let us know if you have any questions about the holiday.
