Manhasset’s next generation of eco-change makers

Based on their responses to an Earth Day assignment to discuss their one wish for a greener Shelter Rock, these students were named Shelter Rock’s Green Team Leaders.

As such, they will be given the opportunity to partner with secondary school students and work in eco-friendly initiatives.

As part of the Earth Day celebration, all students attended an assembly about pollution and how to properly dispose of waste; participated in a bottle cap collection challenge, and kept track of conservation practices at home and in school throughout the week.
