Mineola Historical Society to host event on historical quilts

The Mineola Historical Society will be hosting special guest speaker Linda Radziminski Sept. 23. at 7:30 p.m. to speak on the topic and exhibit her collection of historical quilts.

This meeting will be held at the Mineola Historical Society building located on 211 Westbury Ave.

Linda Radziminski is an award-winning quilter who lives in Mineola. She started sewing at age eleven and made her first quilt at age 15. She began collecting antique quilts about 20 years ago. Her collection consists mainly of quilts from the 1930s and 40s, which were made from feed sacks. Linda currently belongs to the Huntington Quilters Guild and the Evening Star Quilters in Mineola.
