New Hyde Park Memorial High School sophomore Cynthia Park entered two paintings into the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards contest last fall. Park was notified at the end of January that her painting, “Night of Rain,” received the regional Honorable Mention award for the Northeast Art Region-at-Large.
